🙏As always thanks for reading CleanWork Report #0003!
Let’s get right to it!
📊Free Cleaning Calculators
Last week I dropped a free tool for everyone to use.
The Cleaning Contract Calculators!
There’s the Employee + Profit calculator. It adds up all your manpower costs then adds in your profit.
Then there is the Square Feet X Cents calculator. This calculator takes the building’s square footage then multiplies it by the number of cents your charge.
Check them out here.
📓Greatest Lessons From Successful Cleaning Companies VOL. 1 - Lesson 16
This lesson is obvious but so many cleaning company owners don't follow this rule for one reason or another.
Our cleaners check each other's work and sign off on its completion as well as their own. Then the building manager checks everyone’s work and signs off on it.
Doing this keeps a paper trail for reference if any issues arise, and keeps everyone honest and consistent.
This is also something you can give your customer each month to show transparency and your effort to assure quality at their facility.

📢 A Way To Promote Your Business
Make an announcement on your personal social media that you have/started a cleaning service.
This is one of the simplest ways to get some attention to your new business.
A new thing to do is to build your business in public. People love to see things being built and getting updates.

A positive case does not affect our price.
Also, we don’t necessarily have a minimum price. If we can’t make more then $500.00 on a job, we usually pass.

Thoughts:
If the potential customer doesn’t know the exact square footage I just try to eyeball it.
I only use the square footage calculation as a rule of thumb, so if I have it or not, it won’t make or break my quote.

We use Sanitaire commercial vacuums.
They cost about $300.00 brand new and are easy to fix.
We have a guy who knows them inside and out so most of the issues that come up with them are fixed in-house.
💎Gem
This gem is a video by Relay Resources.
Its a step by step guide on restroom cleaning for you newbies or vets that need a refresher.
It’s a little lengthy but pretty detailed.
